kidrobotrules: The long awaited, The Vinyl Frontier has recently debuted in San Francisco at the Frozen Film Festival this last weekend. This documentary film by Daniel Zana, explores the world of vinyl toys and gives some amazing insight in the minds of the artists and the phenomenon of designer art toys. A scheduled screening will take place a the Ace Fest in NYC at the Tribeca Cinemas on August 28. kidrobotrules: Recently awarded King Of The Boards artist, Dril One has released a limited edition of 3-inch refurbished Dunnys. Drils takes his signature style, breaks down these bite sized platforms and produces 30 hand crafted Gas Mask Special-ops customs. They are now available for $50 a pop.
kidrobotrules: After 4 years of touring the US, Europe and Japan, The Vader Project is back in LA for a 10-day exhibition opening this Friday, June 11. This special temporary display will preview 100 customized Darth Vader helmet replicas before they all go up for sale at Freeman’s Auction in Philadelphia on July 10. Friday’s show will feature a 200 page, full color, limited edition catalog. Following up on Saturday, June 12, there will be 20 of the artists in the house for an exclusive book signing at 6812 Melrose Ave. The pop-up gallery will be open everyday from 12-6 pm through June 20.
